I was talking recently with a 45 year old municipal manager, who lacked an MPA, but always wanted to get one. She said to me - “it might take me five years to get it done, while working full time and juggling parent duties, too. I will be 50 when I am done!” So I said, how old will you be in five years if you don’t pursue the Masters?” She got the joke and took it in stride.
